Race Format

Qualifying
No one is allowed to race after drinking alcohol or using drugs that may impair your ability to operate the kart.

Drivers get 5 laps of timed practice.

This is a qualifying session (used to get your best lap time).

Racing other drivers in this segment will greatly reduce your best time.

The qualifying session will be ended and drivers must slow down to be placed in grid order.
Racing
After qualifying, the green lights will be turned on and the race will commence.

Once each driver takes the checkered flag at the end of the race, they must slow down and return to the pits.

Driver Rules & Guidelines

Pit Lane
Drive at walking pace, do not get out of your kart until instructed.
Pedals
The gas is operated with your right foot. The brake is operated with your left foot. Do not use brake and accelerate at the same time (brakes and clutch overheat, decreasing speed).
Visor
On the track, keep visor down at all times to protect your face.
Equipment
Ensure that your race suit and helmet fit properly.
Hair/Clothing
Keep tucked into race suit or helmet. (Hair longer than shoulder length must be secured above shoulders, otherwise scalping will occur).
Illness
If hot, tired or feeling ill while on the track, drive kart into pits at a walking pace. Do not stop on track.
Safety
Keep both hands on steering wheel at all times. Do not touch engine or exhaust — they will BURN.
Conduct
There may be a spread of driving experience and ability, please be considerate.
Cold Tires
Tires start cold and will be slippery. Tires will come up to temp after several laps.

Formal Regulations

No one is allowed to race after drinking alcohol or using drugs that may impair your ability to operate the kart.

Persons perceived by race officials to be under the influence of intoxicants will not be allowed to operate karts.

Drivers under 5 feet tall will not be permitted to race in GS karts.

Drivers must be suited up and ready at pit entrance 15 minutes prior to race. Heats will go out on time and will not be held up.

Failure to follow the rules could cause injury to yourself and others. Any unsafe driving, unsportsmanlike conduct or other violation of rules, will cause your kart to lose power and you will be immediately removed from the track with no refund.
SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
